Marey to take today's game as a typical test

Male', MALDIVES - Vyansa coach Marzooq (Marey) believed the best thing for them is to concentrate winning certain games rather than trying to win all the games. He also added if they try to win all, they might end up losing all and said facing New Radiant today; they will try to reduce conceding goals.

“If we try to win all the games, we might end up losing all. So for us it’s better to concentrate winning some games rather than all then we can win those games” he started.

“In tomorrow’s (today) game we will try to reduce conceding goals. It won’t be easy but we will try till the last minute”

Vyansa, who beat Valencia 3-1 in their last game, is severely hit by injuries to key players. Four players are doubtful for today’s game due to injury and defender Muaz is serving two bookings suspension.

“Sung, Neesham, Solah and Saudhullah are injured and Muaz is suspended. Neesham cannot play any part in this season”

Vyansa was stunned by New Radiant in their round one clash, where the champions outclassed them by 3-0 and Marey assured they will correct the mistakes of that day and is happy that Kofi is available to start the game today.

“We will correct the mistakes of that day and will show that tomorrow (today). Kofi missed that game; he was very interested to play in that game”

Marey also stated that they will take today’s game a typical test as a preparation for the remaining games. He also added as a coach he will be very happy if Vyansa beat New Radiant today, but as a football fan he will be very sad.

“They have national team seven players and if Vyansa beat them, as a coach I will be very happy”

“But as a football loving fan I will be very sad because it would be a national problem which we have to think about”

“Since SAFF championship is so close, if they (New Radiant) lost against us their form and morale will decline”

Marey revealed that some players’ expectation was very high after they drew against Victory and beat Valencia in round one. He noted that some players believed they can win the league, but noted that they are a lower team compared to New Radiant and they will respect the opponent.

He further explained that some players missed practices in recent days, but all the players are well disciplined now and they will play like Vyansa today.
